I just watched this show called "born a boy, raised as a girl". It's a true story about twin boys. When one twin had a botched circumcision they on the advice of a Psychologist removed the baby's testicles and raised him as a girl. The doctor was trying to prove a theory that nurture not nature is the driving force of a persons gender identity. As you can guess it went horribly wrong. The doctor tired everything he could to get this poor little boy to think he was a girl. Finally when he was 13 he was suicidal and they finally told him he was born a boy.

I read the book a few years ago and was disgusted at what that doctor did to these boys. He ruined their lives. Literally. After they came out with the book, the one brother that was raised as a boy committed suicide and then later the other one did the same thing. They couldn't live with what they went through. I hope that "doctor" burns for what he did. He is nothing better than a Nazi in my opinion. Experimenting on children. Oh look, there is his Photo in the dictionary under Evil.

We all need to follow our instinct and our hearts when it comes to our health and the health and wellness of our children. Doctors don't always know what's best or even in this case have the best interests of their patients at heart. Granted this was in the 70's. Now I think most people would question any doctor that wanted to do something crazy to our children. Thank goodness times have changed.
