Woo Hoo! I can finally write!

Hummmmm...where to start.

St Patrick's day was great. We were on our local news off and on for 2 hours. I think were shown 3 times and the reporter decided to interview me. I suppose because I was the one who set it all up and had been talking to her for the last month or so. I was so nervous and for some completely insane reason I kept blinking my eyes. Scott said it looked like I had something in my eye and was trying to get it out. Eh oh well, so much for my fifteen min. of fame. Later that night we performed at a Old Folks home. That always makes me feel like I'm doing something good.

The next day we drove four hours to visit Scott's parents in this crappy little casino town where there was nothing to do. We tried to get a hotel but because of stupid spring break every hotel was full. We arrived, we talked, we went to a movie, we ate steak and lobster at the casino which turned out to be the highlight of the whole road trip. We left the next morning after breakfast and drove straight home. Ugh, the weather was so crappy we didn't even get to enjoy the warmth that Southern Utah is known for. Oh well, at least we didn't have to be there for a long time.

I picked up this great book and spent the last few days on the couch with it. It was so good! Everyone knows my love of vampire novels and I think I wrote about the whole controversy between me and the Hubby over Laurell K. Hamilton's books which he calls my vampire porn and since reading her most recent release I have to agree. This new book I found is by Kim Harrison and is called Dead Witch Walking and it is spectacular! It leave a few loose ends and I was starting to freak out hoping she had written or was planning to write the next one. Fortunately I was able to find her site and see that indeed she does have the next one out already and is writing her third. Yippee! There is nothing more perfect than a really good book I can just loose myself in. The only draw back is everything else in life kind of stops until I'm done.

Last Friday was really cool, I went to my first Doctor's appointment and everything is great. He is an amazing Doc. He interviewed us in his office then took me back to an exam room and ..uhem..checked stuff out down below. Ick, I know, then for the best part. We were able to hear the baby's heartbeat. So amazing. It's so incredibly fast. He said it sounds like a girl. Fine by me. A boy would be so good for Jackson but a girl will be just as good for the rest of us.

My kids are home for the next 5 days since its farging spring break. Yea for me.
