It's funny how a well a serious threat of no Christmas works to motivate a child.

I know I over use this every year but how can I not when it works so well?

Jackson had two D's in school. One in History and one in Health. He just doesn't get his assignments turned in. Sometimes I find them all finished in his folder. He had about ten missing assignments in Health, I asked him where they were and he gives me this shrug thing that I absolutely hate! I freak out and tell him he can't have any of his Christmas gifts until they are up to at least a C. He worked for hours yesterday getting them done. I emailed his two teachers asking what he could do to get them up since they don't usually accept late work. I was so happy when they responded.

This morning he now has a B- in History. I hope his Health teacher will update his grade before Christmas or he will be one sad puppy. Oh did I mention no TV or video games? Yes, he will be very sad, especially when he sees the video games the Hubby got for them.

Gotta love the power of Christmas.
