2007-06-04 - 9:02 a.m. Ok, here is the second part of the Memorial Day camping trip. The fab Hubby goes on a walk to have a little alone time. He is gone for what seems like forever. Scott finally comes back and says he wants to show me something he found, he also asks Noelle to come. "Noelle, do you believe in fairies?" he asks. She says no, He asks me and I answer "yes" right away because I do. We are gone for a half hour or so and then return to get the rest of the kids. We had to show them the most interesting thing we have ever seen in the forest. First we have to cross the river and go through the woods.... Then we walk for a while and we start to see something different....
We speak in whispers just in case there are fairies hiding, we don't want to scare them. Some of the patterns were very old, some were newer. This painted rock was freaky. Scott was nervous when he saw it and was all alone. He was much braver when he had his peeps to back him up. Sierra didn't like it at all. When we went the first time with just Noelle we climbed this huge rock mountain. It was flat on top and covered with teeny tiny rocks and every few feet there was a big pile of bigger rocks. It was so strange. We wondered how in the world it had come to be like that. I don't think we will ever find out. Goodbye Fairy forest! We can't wait to visit again! | |
