Jackson was so excited about a big read-a-thon today at school. He took his book "Eldest" that he has been working on and some candy to share with his class. When he came home I found out that he didn't get to go because he had one assignment missing. He finished it and turned it in but still didn't get to go. He had to sit in another class and read his book. That totally sucks!!! I know it's a good lesson for him but it still sucks big time! I felt so bad for him. Hopefully he will remember this and try really hard to get his work done.

You know what else sucks? When you think you are getting a good deal from a friend and then find out that your supposed friend has totally screwed you big time.

We had a friend give us a bid on our landscaping. It was a good bid, we had him do some of the work while we did the rest. Well, he did a really crappy job, left us high and dry when it really mattered and then sent us a bill that was totally off his original estimate. I don't mind paying him for the work he did but he inflated hours that he worked and the hourly rate that he quoted us. He also added about $500. to the bill for the topsoil he had delivered. He is such a jerk. We are sending him a check for the work he quoted us and for the actual amount of the topsoil. He even told us that he would only charge us what his subs charged him. Ya, whatever. That is such crap.

All I can say is karma baby. karma.
You get what you give. If that is how you treat your "friends" Then I can guess you don't have many.
