I did something yesterday I've never done before. My Mother needed to take my Grandmother's buriel clothing to the morturary yesterday so I drove her then we ended up staying there and dressing her. I've never touched a dead body before. It was quite unnerving. The Mortitian was so kind and he helped us, she was a large woman and there was no way we could have done it alone.

Once I got over the "this is weird" part I started thinking how much I love her and that this was a labor of love and I'm sure she would have liked it that we were the ones doing it instead of a stranger who doesn't know or care about her.

It really made me think of biblical times when loved ones took the body and prepared it for burial.

It was something I won't ever forget.
